The objective of this study is to make a brief review of the progress made in the Latin America’s countries towards the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and the policies that guided this advance. It suggests some lines of action that help keep going poverty reduction policies while responding to the challenges emerging around the concept of sustainable development.
