RIO+ Centre and TEDxRio announce partnership to mainstream the Sustainable Development Goals

We are excited to announce a new partnership between the RIO+Centre and TEDxRio. Building upon the success of the TEDxRio+20 organized in collaboration with the United Nations and held on June 2012 on the fringes of the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20), this partnership aims to amplify voices from the Global South that share transformative ideas about equitable and sustainable development through short, powerful talks from inspired thinkers. The partnership with RIO+ Centre will involve the organization of collaborative TEDx events that mainstream sustainable development and the new Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into the public debate, inspiring collective efforts to transform the nature of development.

The agreement with RIO+ Centre will be signed on 3 June 2016, during the next edition of TEDxRio on Changing Times (Tempos Mutantes). The event will feature Brazilian and international speakers, including architects, actors, professors, social entrepreneurs, marketing specialists, healers, business leaders and investors. Among the speakers, Louis Zacharilla, co-founder of the Intelligent Community Forum Foundation; Brazilian investor and entrepreneur Jorge Paulo Lemann; and Brazilian actress Regina Casé, from the Oscar-nominee film Que horas ela chega?.
