Also a legacy of the Rio+20 Conference, the RIO+Centre focuses on raising awareness and building capacity about the SDGs, as a key area of work. This work began with supporting Brazilian government and national stakeholders in international negotiations to define the SDGs and the indicator framework.

Since 2016, our support has expanded to assisting local, state and national governments and other actors in implementing the 2030 Agenda. Implementing these 17 Global Goals by the 2030 deadline will require the support and participation of everyone: citizens, governments, civil society organizations, companies and the news media.
